# Survival Slide privacy policy

This is the Survival Slide part of the studio's privacy policy. Last updated October 10, 2026.

## The studio and this website

Metacortex Studios LLC ("the studio") makes the games covered by this policy. This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies and has no accounts. Each game below lists what it collects, why, and how to have it deleted.

### Visit counts

The website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you to other websites. For each page view it records the page, the website that linked to it, the type of browser and device, and the country, which Cloudflare works out from your connection. The studio sees only totals, never individual visitors. Cloudflare's privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

### The contact form

When you send a message through the [contact form](https://metacortexstudios.com/contact/), the website passes your name, email address, message, and any game or Player ID you add to the studio by email, so the studio can reply. The form keeps no copy on the website. A short-lived counter of how many messages each connection sends is kept to stop abuse. The website is hosted by DreamHost, which delivers the message. To have a message and your details deleted, say so in a new message.

### What the game collects

- **An anonymous player ID.** The game makes a random ID on your device the first time it goes online. It is not linked to your name, email address or phone number. Other players see you only under a name the game generates from this ID, such as "Rusty Fox 42". Players never see text that another player typed.
- **Game scores.** When you finish a puzzle while online, the game sends your scores (your puzzle score, your fastest win and your longest chain) and the area you played to the leaderboard service, so they can appear on the leaderboards.
- **Gameplay events.** When you finish a puzzle while online, the game sends how it went: the area, whether you won, the moves and time it took, what ended it, the goal, and whether it was a daily or weekly puzzle. It also notes when a play session starts, with the game version and date, and, once per install, how many seconds it took from opening the game to the first match. Each event also carries the device's operating system, the game version and the screen size. The studio uses this to balance and improve the game. It is tied only to the anonymous player ID.
- **Multiplayer.** If you play Showdown, the game stores your run (your moves and score) so other players can race against it. If you use Friends, it stores your friend list, friend requests, the Stamina gifts you send and the duels you play. If you join a Co-op Camp, it stores which camp you are in and what you gave toward it. All of this is tied only to the anonymous player ID.
- **Error reports.** If the game hits a programming error, it records where in the game it happened, a short error message, how many times it happened and the game version, and sends this when you are online, so the studio can fix bugs. Error reports contain no personal information.

The game does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, messages, precise location or health data. Your saved game stays on your device. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

### Advertising

The game shows optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob: you choose to watch an ad in return for a stated reward. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location (from your IP address) and diagnostics to show and measure ads. See how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the game's Settings.

### Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play. The studio receives a record that a purchase happened so the game can give you the item, and never sees your payment details.

### Service providers

Talo (player IDs, leaderboards, multiplayer and error reports, trytalo.com), Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play (purchases).

### Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and the studio does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, use the [contact form](https://metacortexstudios.com/contact/?topic=delete) and the studio will delete the data linked to their player ID.

### Keeping and deleting data

Leaderboard entries, gameplay events, multiplayer records and error reports are kept while the game is live. Leaderboard services may remove inactive players. To have the data linked to your player ID deleted, use the [contact form](https://metacortexstudios.com/contact/?topic=delete), choose "Delete my data" and add the Player ID shown in the game's Settings; it is deleted within 30 days. Uninstalling the game deletes the saved game on your device.
